Construction Cost Review
CMWorks, A Kleinfelder Company, provided the construction cost review for the Reno Aces Ballpark, Phase I project and Reno Freight House, Phase II Retail project. As part of the process, the team reviewed the actual construction costs incurred on the Ball Park. Challenges include an ambiguous depth and detail of the required documentation, and the needed information was difficult to obtain. The work also involved working closely with the Reno Redevelopment Agency, the city council, and the mayor, as well as attending city council meetings and addressing any questions or concerns.
Project Results
This project centered around a baseball stadium with seating for 9,100 fans, with 22 luxury boxes stretching from first to third base, a sublevel baseball clubhouse, and training facility. The downtown entertainment district accompanies the stadium with indoor restaurants, plus an outdoor space sheltered by a 38-foot-tall canopy and roof-top deck overlooking the action on the ball field.
